Let's Get Organic With Our Skincare

The words organic and skincare put together has such a nice ring to it. Products that are all organic and made with nothing but the best natural ingredients are the best kinds of products to be putting anywhere near your skin. Harsh chemicals, parabens and sulphates have no business being in things like face washes, cleansers and exfoliants, and can sometimes even be the cause of those nasty breakouts that the face wash was meant to get rid off. Skincare that is all organic uses natural ingredients like plant extracts, fruits and natural oils to help sooth, moisturise and, in general, helps to maintain a natural Ph balance in the skin.
Our skin produces its own oils daily to help keep it soft and clean. It gets rid of dead skin on its own, and our immune systems are key to help fight off nasty blemishes. It is responsible for keeping itself in good condition using natural processes. So why are we slathering harsh, stripping products on our faces to do what it already does itself? Even the most acne-prone faces can benefit from natural products, simply because they are made with soft ingredients found within nature that also act as an anti-bacterial (tea tree for example) rather than laboratory made artificial chemicals. And they are almost always cruelty-free.

Recently my skin reacted badly to a new face wash that dried out my skin to the point where I was breaking out in massive, ugly clusters of pimples all over my face. This was abnormal for me and it took me a while to figure out why my face was breaking out so much and not clearing up. I then realised it was because I changed my skincare routine. I always use organic products on my face, so when I swapped to a wash from Simple Skincare that was so harsh and stripping, my face freaked out. So once I realised what was wrong, I set out to find new products that would help. And luckily for me I found two amazing products that worked incredibly well.

With rosehip oil being the feature of this line, it has everything you need for clear, amazing skin. It uses tiny rosehip granules within the wash to gently exfoliate the face which gives a little extra boost to the already jam packed rosehip and Aloe Vera oil combo it has. Completely made from all natural ingredients, it's soft and nourishing and isn't the slightest bit harsh and stripping. The rosehip oil makes the skin feel really soft and smooth and even after washing it off, the skin feels moisturised and not the least bit dry at all. It also helps to clarify impurities, including pimples. After just one use of this, nasty breakouts begin to diminish and after a few uses the skin is all but cleared up and remains really soft and smooth. The packaging is also really sweet which is always a bonus - it looks really nice on the vanity. It can be purchased from Priceline, Coles and Safeway which means it's easy to get hold of and isn't very expensive at all.

Another contender that completely helped to cure all skin problems and clear the face right up while also keeping it soft and nourished. This product is made from nothing but natural oils including jojoba, macadamia, olive and coconut oils, which are all really soft and each contribute to moisturised skin. This product mimics the natural oil balance of the skin to purify and to help neutralise how much oil your skin produces throughout the day. It's a known fact that if you dry your skin out, it will try to counteract that by producing more oils (hence why the face can freak out), but if you're adding all those oils to the skin, it won't need to produce more. This makes the skin feel incredibly soft and helps to make it glow as well as helping to minimise breakouts. Although unlike the Rosehip, this isn't quite so affordable, or easy to attain. In fact, truth be told, I received this product inside a goodie bag from a launch party that I was interning at, so this was free for me. But I don't use this product every day, in fact, I rotate this with my Rosehip using it every second day and only using a tiny bit. That way I can make it last a little longer because it has been a saviour.

Both of these products are cruelty-free and completely organic. They are just two of the many, many products available that are natural and great for keeping the skin soft and breakout free, without nasty harsh chemicals that can do more harm than good. Organic all the way.
