At Home Pilates Workouts With Blogilates

As someone with eternal back problems, it's very important that I keep my muscles strong and tight to keep my spine in good condition. Not only that, but working out - even a little, even at home - is a great idea for anyone to keep fit, and help keep yourself healthy from your insides to your outsides. I'm no health or fitness expert in any way and I certainly can't say what's right or wrong. I can't tell you what you should and shouldn't be doing when you're working out at home, but I can recommend the thing that I've been following and doing for a few months now.
At first, I began with a little at-home yoga to stretch my spine out and help with flexibility. I scrapped that when I still woke up daily with a stiff spine, still had back pain and no flexibility improvements. I then decided the best course of action would be to take on pilates to tighten and strengthen my muscles. As a bonus, the arms, stomach, and legs get toned up along the way - who doesn't love a toned figure?

Cassey Ho is the pilates instructor behind the blog and Youtube channel Blogilates. I stumbled upon her videos by accident, but after watching just one I thought, "Yep, this is what I need to do!" Inspiration and motivation activate! She's energetic and fun as well as being really kind and supportive. Although she's talking to a camera, you can't help but feel like she's right there with you, speaking directly to you. She's not pushy in her videos, just gently motivative. She's also absolutely gorgeous with a body that looks natural and healthy, who wouldn't want to take advice from her?
She has a ton of video's on her channel, with routines targeting different areas with different techniques. This video above is the one that I follow and one that I recommend.
I chose this one to follow because each move also targets, strengthens and stretches the spine, and it's one I recommend to my other scoliosis girls.

The beauty of this is that you can pick any routine and do it in the comfort and privacy of your own home. Not to mention that each routine can be done by anyone, no workout is really "intense" and aims to give girls the tools to achieve what they want, in a healthy way. I love her because she doesn't push an unrealistic look, she's not about being super thin or having a prominent six pack. At the end of her "sexy thigh" video, she even states that a thigh gap isn't something you should feel the need to strive for, and not to measure your worth based on the gap between your thighs. I just adore her.

This routine, in particular, can be quite hard at first for anyone who hasn't done much of working out before. My advice is, at first, to count it out. Start by doing 20 or 30 of each move, or however much you can do, and do a little every day until it becomes easier. Then you can work it up to 17 minutes.
Since doing this I've noticed my spine feels stronger, my back pain isn't as frequent or bad as it was and I'm even a little more toned.
