What's With The Brow Obsession?

Or as put by some, what's with the brow obsession all of a sudden? There is a point there, however. It seems that over the past year and a bit, more people are concerned with eyebrows than before. Sculpting, shaping, filling. Creams, powders, pencils, and gels. Eyebrows have always been a beauty topic of focus, but in the past year, more people have been talking about it. The quick answer as to why is that perfect, thick eyebrows are on trend. Thanks, Cara. Makeup looks come and go but as long as your eyebrows are, shall I say, on fleek (cringe), you'll always look put together and ready to go.
"So what's with the brow obsession?" I've heard some say. "Why, what's the point? I don't even bother with mine." With the beauty industry raving and gurus posting new "eyebrow routines," the question of why the heck, is on a few lips.

Why people have such a brow obsession is something that speaks for itself. Eyebrows frame your face just as much as your hair does. The shape of your brows determines how your face looks, how your eyes look. Whether you look younger, older, angry or fresh. Your eyebrows can either compliment your face shape or change it completely. A higher arch can lift your eyes up while a lower one can lengthen them. And let's be honest, we look pretty odd without our brows.
Naked brows aren't perfect. They have sparse areas and bald patches, they sit downwards and look messy. While it is natural, it doesn't always work. Especially if you're wearing a full face of makeup. Naturally thin, sparse brows can look like you've over-plucked and can make your face look brow-less. Some faces can even look rounder with sparse eyebrows.

The focus on filling in, drawing and dusting the brows, comes from wanting fuller, thicker, more shapely brows. Even the girls with the thickest of brows still have sparse areas with limited hair. Just by dusting on some powder, you can even out your brows to make them look complete. The goal, in the end, is to look fresh faced with even, full brows that shape the face, look nicely groomed and bring about the look of youth.
Have you ever heard someone say, "thicker brows make you look younger because babies don't pluck, and they have thicker brows. Babies look young with their thick brows so you would too."
That's kind of an odd thing to compare it too, but you catch my drift. Fuller eyebrows make you look more youthful and also very healthy. It's why girls with very sparse eyebrows will shape and draw them in. They want that full look they can't otherwise have.

At the end of the day, you can makeup your face to look flawless but if your brows aren't done, it can completely undermine your entire look. Just like you can fill in your brows, go makeup free and look amazing.
So the reason why is because they make all the difference in how you look. Your brows, shaped and filled in, make you look more youthful, healthier and fresh faced. Even just lightly brushing powder into the hair will make them look better, different even. You'll notice the difference straight away. They complete your look and compliment your face.
