Signature Beauty Look from London to Paris, New York & Australia

Without even realising it at first simply out of habit, a signature look is born. It starts with a preference of eyeliner technique and ends with the same beauty products you always gravitate towards and repurchase, soon you're doing the same thing every day for years. That, my friend, is your signature look.
It took me quite some time to perfect mine, simply because my winged liner techniques were not (in fact) on fleek and it took me way too long to achieve my perfect red that I've wanted since childhood. Then, a miracle happened. My perfect shade of red found me within the aisles of my local supermarket, and I discovered the joys of felt tip liners. Then, my signature look was born.

Mine is quite classic in nature. Some would argue basic, even. Which I'm okay with, sometimes it's good to be basic (and it saves so much time getting ready in the morning.) Once I find a product that works for me I am so loyal to it, it serves me well so why stray? A simple wing from a felt tip, one swipe of mascara and to finish, a favourite scent that sums up who you are.
My hair has become part of me now, my orange-toned red that borders on natural but still bright enough to (not at all) be that fierce firecracker you pass on the street. I have no clue what I would do if L'Oreal Paris discontinued my perfect signature red (P76) that I plan to keep for as long as I can get away with. I feel complete with this shade like it's my non-natural, natural colour.

My look always begins with a primer, the lucky one of choice from Australis. I can't go a full day wearing powder foundation without a primer now can I? It dries on the face and gives me a flawlessly smooth base for all-day makeup staying power. It's perfect for keeping my concealer in place under my eyes as well.

With my dark undereye bags and unfortunate acne scars, concealer is not optional. All the way from New York, Maybelline has served me well with the perfect product on a silver platter. Matches my pale skin, hides my blemishes impressively well and completes my face. Where have you been all my life?

The eyes are the key to my look, and the only area of my face that I spend the most time and attention on. I feel naked without my cat-eye, and Rimmel London has made it easy to achieve in two minutes. Opaque, easily controlled and smudge-proof, this felt tip will be re-purchased till the cows come home. (Actually, I would love for the cows to come to my home, I love cows.)

On that note, you can't have liner without mascara, and my need for black, sultry eyes are achieved with my baby NYX. Very black, very waterproof, provides natural looking fanned lashes and is frou-frou in the best way.

To finish my look; perfume, of course. And what is a spritz of perfume, without one that you always reach for and will always repurchase? Karl Lagerfeld for her was designed to be a signature scent (which made my job easier) and is the best signature scent for me. It sums me up completely and smells divine with it's soft but sweet floral scent and mature musk. It lingers all day and only gets sweeter, making this the scent I'll always have on the top of my Christmas wishlist.

  1. I really want to try that maybelline concealer again, I think I had it years ago, when I wasn't that makeup savvy lol.

    1. Hahaha, It's a pretty impressive one especially for me as someone with such pale skin and deep undereye bags. It's always fun to revisit products when you're older, wiser and more makeup savvy, I must say!
